Аннотация

В этой статье мы проводим обзор исследований, опубликованных после выхода в свет книги «Сравнивая медиасистемы» (Comparing Media Systems), целью которых являлось либо практическое применение концепций, обсуждаемых в этой работе, а также тестирование представленной там структуры, либо предложение альтернативных вариантов этих концепций или их пересмотр. Основное внимание мы уделяем научным работам, относящимся к тем восемнадцати кейсам, о которых шла речь в «Сравнивая медиасистемы», учитываем достижения в разработке количественных показателей по этим кейсам для ключевых переменных, анализируем исследования, проверяющие, как классифицируются случаи в «Сравнивая медиасистемы», исследования, в которых сравнительный анализ западных медиасистем распространяется на новые медиа, и исследования, посвященные постепенному переходу к либеральной модели. В заключительном разделе мы сконцентрируемся на ограничениях исследований, проводившихся в течение 10 лет после публикации книги «Сравнивая медиасистемы», в частности, сделаем акцент на количественной операционализации и на некоторых трудностях в использовании количественного анализа для изучения сложных динамических систем.
