Abstract

Third International research and practice conference "Media literacy, media ecology, media education: digital media for future" was held on April 20-22 at the Faculty of Communications, Media and Design of National Research University Higher School of Economics.

In 2017 the conference brought together researchers and practicians from the United States of America, Canada, Italy, Finland, Spain, Vietnam, India and the range of Russian cities (such as Saint-Petersburg, Rostov, Kazan, Nizhniy Novgorod, Tyumen etc). During the plenary sessions various trends of modern media literacy and media education were covered. Russian researchers shared their views on the progress of media literacy in Russia, first successes and first difficulties on the way of developing media literacy among Russian citizens.
