Abstract

Since the end of the last century, a new direction in linguistics – gender linguistics – has been actively developing. In the field of gender linguistics, feminist linguistics is also highlighted, which studies the projection of a woman in a language. Currently, the problem was that there was an increasing flow of migrants from the Middle East, which raised interest in learning the impact of Arabic on English. The purpose of this article is to examine the image of a Muslim woman, which has been changing recently in many aspects, which is naturally reflected at the linguistic level. In this study conceptual and semantic analysis techniques were used that revealed a new image of a woman in English - Muslim women - that carries not only cultural but also linguistic changes.
