A few words about Russian articles of this issue

Abstract

Although Marshall McLuhan is well known in Russia, we argue that the potential of his works is much wider than several definitions, that are used commonly in Russian academic discourse, such as "global village", "extensions of man" and other.

One of the aims of this issue was to probe the modern media environment with the tools that were offered by Marshall McLuhan. Several articles dedicated to this aim are included in the issue.
